Rotajet Systems has successfully designed, manufactured, installed, and commissioned a new IBC Washing Line at Oleon’s Goole site, enhancing a previously manual process to further support Health and Safety, food-sector hygiene, efficiency, and sustainability.
The project marks a significant investment in food-grade process hygiene and operational performance, combining Rotajet’s expertise in container washing technology with Oleon’s global commitment to safety, product integrity, and environmental responsibility.
Developed specifically for the oleochemical and food oil sectors, the new washing line semi-automates all key stages — from oil reclamation and washing through to drying and inspection. By reducing manual handling while ensuring full process validation, the system delivers consistent, repeatable cleaning performance that continues to meet Oleon’s stringent Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and EHEDG hygienic design standards.
Built for Food Industry Compliance and Safety
The new IBC cleaning line at the Goole facility has been designed and installed to uphold the highest levels of operator protection and workplace safety.
The system complies with key UK and European food-industry directives, ensuring a hygienic design for food processing machinery. All wetted surfaces are fabricated from high-grade stainless steel with fully drainable, crevice-free construction to minimise contamination risks. This hygienic design supports the rigorous cleaning standards required in edible oil production, while maintaining ergonomic operator access and easy maintenance between cycles.
