We’re Crushing It With The All In One Drum Machines
Rotajet systems and thrilled to have our Rotajet CNC machine in full swing. This machine allows customers to safely and easily process their drum waste.
What is the RJ-CNC?
The RJ-CNC is a all in one drum washer and crusher machine from Rotajet Systems. This design significantly reduces the volume of empty drums or barrels whilst cleaning the interior contamination safely. This is accomplished by compressing the drum into a flat, disc-like shape.
So why do companies need a Drum Washer and Crusher?
The unique design of the RJ-CNC means operators don’t come into contact with any contamination present in the drums. And, once crushed, are safe to handle during transportation and disposal.
Why is this important?
- Safety: Handling empty drums can be hazardous due to the potential presence of residual chemicals. Clean crushed drums reduce the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Cost Reduction: By reducing the volume of waste and removing the hazardous contamination, disposal costs are significantly lower.
- Improved Efficiency: The RJ-CNC will process a drums quicker than other methods, reducing the time and labour required for disposal.
- Environmental Benefits: By removing the hazardous contamination at this stage, the chemicals can be controlled and processed.
- Regulatory Compliance: In many regions, there are regulations or guidelines that limit the amount of waste that can be sent to landfills. Drum crushers can help businesses comply with these requirements.
How does the RJ-CNC work?
The RJ-CNC is designed with the operators safety as the leading factor. to be operator friendly :
- Loading: The empty drum is placed into the crusher’s chamber. Safety interlocks will secure the chamber
- Washing: An overhead wash lance will pierce the drums head and bottom. Then the wash cycle will spray high pressure wash to interior. All liquids will drain through the bottom piercing.
- Crushing: A hydraulic force is applied to the drum via the crushing disc, compressing into a much smaller form.
- Discharge: The crushed material is then safe to remove from the machine for further processing or disposal.
Industries using Drum Crushers
Drum crushers are commonly found in industries that generate large quantities of empty drums, including:
- Manufacturing: A variety of manufacturing processes produce empty drums, such as chemical production, food processing, and automotive manufacturing.
- Chemical Processing: The chemical industry relies heavily on drums for storing and transporting various substances.
- Oil and Gas: Exploration and production activities in the oil and gas industry often involve the use of drums for storing chemicals and other materials.
